When I see a photo, I don't just see the photo.  I see what I can do with it.  Some I use to sketch and paint from. Some I use to make floral graphics.  Some are obvious backgrounds.  Some will make great Scrapbook Stamps, Korner Bloks, or Prink Kisses. Some are an element in a color band.  I could go on,  Often, seeing it only as a color element expands the number of ways I can use it.  This kind of visualization makes the photo become my medium, like a paint pallet.
