Textures Galleries & Collections
Some surfaces evoke an impression that you can almost feel the texture even in a picture. These are a natural
for backgrounds. Images below are collections of shells, logs, mushrooms, stones, brick, leaves, and more.

A new year approaches, and Christmas is crowning the past year. Lights and glass, and sparkle should fill the hours in anticipation of a bright new coming year.
Glass, Shiney
Glass on Glass is one of my favorite photo subjects. Its tricky, but the results are rewarding.

Occasionally, I will Posterize or Cartoon these images to emphasize the textural quality. Mosses on rocks are a great opportunity to exagerate the visual impact.

Scaling these images for the website really eliminates some of their gloss and magic. The texture of the large framable art is somewhat lost. These actually fit best into a fine art category.

Embossed
Emobossing only works on some photos. There must be some high contrast in texture, shape or depth
of field for this to work. Archetectural elements also work well. It is important that once embossed, the picture's intent must be strengthened. The subject should jump.
